A New Energy Saving rebate program began August 30th in Florida. In addition to this rebate program, your local energy company may have additional offers.

To qualify for the state rebate, applicants must have professional tests done that show home duct systems do not leak more than 15 percent of air to the outside.
Consumers must apply for the state program prior to Dec. 31 or before the money is depleted. Rebates are not retroactive for consumers who bought units earlier this year, and window or room air-conditioning units are not eligible.
The state rebate program is funded by a grant from the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and Florida legislation signed by Gov. Charlie Crist in 2009. State legislators allocated $15 million of the federal stimulus dollars on the new rebate program.
